Coaches

Our Athletic Department and Coaches are dedicated to the discipling, mentoring and strengthening our athletes for the purpose of glorifying God.

HCA Athletics is committed to excellence in everything we do.

Harvest Christian Academy has over 36 interscholastic middle and upper school teams, most of which compete as members of the IESA (Illinois Elementary School Association) or the IHSA (Illinois High School Association).

Athletic success is not only measured by the number of wins, losses and final standings, but also upon the quality relationships that are built between players, coaches, opponents, and ultimately with the Lord Jesus Christ. Athletic competition provides significant character-building opportunities for athletes and coaches. We provide athletes with plentiful resources in order to perform at a high level.

Unique to the athletic program is a weight training and skills class that prepares our athletes for the rigors of their athletic season. Specialized programs are then developed for each athlete based on individual needs. Students are then tracked as they progress through the program, ensuring personal goals are achieved. Team success is related to personal achievement and our coaches see to it that becoming stronger physically and mentally directly relates to the confidence-building of our athletes.

Harvest Christian Academy boasts second to none athletic facilities, which contribute to our winning traditions. The “Mitch” is home to our basketball, volleyball, wrestling, and cheer teams. It also holds full weight room facilities, concessions stand, and a premium sound system. We partner with Judson University for our home baseball field, which provides a full turf infield and major league caliber dugouts. HCA also holds a 6,000 square foot Baseball training facility on-premise with full turf floor, and multiple batting and pitching cages. Our 80 acres of land also boasts a unique cross country course, which is a mile loop course with challenging terrain using trails that circle the property. No matter what sport your child is participating in, we have the staff and the facilities that can help them develop the skill and the responsibility to glorify God by giving one hundred percent in all that they do.
