Mrs. Cathy D’Alessandro – Harvest Christian Academy

Mrs. Cathy D’Alessandro

About Mrs. Cathy D’Alessandro

Mrs. Cathy D’Alessandro serves as the Middle and Upper School Assistant Principal. Prior to this promotion, Mrs. D’Alessandro was previously spearheading learning in the subjects of math, science and technology as a curriculum director and instructional coach. Mrs. D’Alessandro began teaching at HCA in 2009 but had her first year in 1997 in Chicago Public Schools and then prior to coming to HCA spent many years in U-46 at Larsen Middle School.

Mrs. D’Alessandro is a force of nature and her impact on the academic program of HCA cannot be overstated.  She is constantly reading and learning to better her craft in order to impact the students at HCA for Christ. Her greatest achievement here at HCA has been instituting our math curriculum change to Singapore Math in 2011-12.  She has seen vast improvement in HCA students’ ability to understand and score high in math assessments.

Mrs. D’Alessandro has been married to Joe since 1994 and they have four children. All four are graduates of HCA. Joey graduated in 2017. Patrick graduated with the class of 2019. Maggie graduated in 2021 and Becca with the class of 2022.

Her favorite bible verse is Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold fast to the confessions of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.”
