HCA International Student Program
Why Join Harvest Christian Academy?
HCA is authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students. We challenge students to develop strong academic skills and provide opportunities to become a well-rounded person through participation in athletics, arts and community service.
In 2018, HCA’s High School had an average SAT score of 1190 placing it in the top 2% of high schools in Illinois in 2018. HCA is located 45 minutes outside of Chicago in Elgin, Illinois.
Our new digital arts lab and program provides advanced opportunities for students to develop and explore their creativity.
University Preparation and Advising
HCA’s college preparatory program offers students will a full experience to prepare for a successful education in the American university system.
We offer AP Courses through the College Board as well as administer the PSAT and SAT onsite to students. Our guidance office and counselor utilize the NAVIANCE software to assist students and families in preparing for successful matriculation to Universities and Colleges around the United States.
HCA offers a distinguished scholar track for graduation honors and leadership opportunities through the school’s chapter of the National Honor Society. Students will receive as needed academic support to ensure their best academic outcomes while at HCA.
Full-Immersion Program
HCA’s International Student Program offers a complete experience of American culture, family life, and language acquisition.
Activities and time for connection with other students is provided on a regular basis.
International Students will be able to take advantage of organized outings to explore nearby Chicago and other places of interest.
Homestay Boarding
Students in our International Student Program live with host families connected with HCA throughout the term of their stay.
These families will provide the daily living experience for students and provide transportation to and from school and events. Our caring host families are screened, trained, and determined to by the HCA International Student Program to provide International Students with a supportive home environment.
Students will be expected to participate in regular home routines and meals to gain the most from the experience.
The total tuition, fees and homestay boarding cost for students enrolled in Harvest Christian Academy’s International Student Program is $42,500.
How to Apply
Before you apply, you will need electronic copies of the following:
- Passport
- 3-5 Pictures of the Student (including one headshot picture)
- Academic Transcriptsfrom the current and past year translated into English (or starting with at least 9th grade)
- English Test Results, such as TOEFL or iTEP SLATE Plus
- A working credit card to make the $400 application fee payment
